An elimination match changes everything. One mistake can send you home. One strong series can buy you another day.
For 100 Thieves, meeting G2 Esports again at VALORANT Champions 2026 offered something even better: a chance for revenge.
G2 had beaten 100 Thieves 2–0 on October 8, forcing them into the lower bracket. On October 16, the teams met again with elimination on the line.
This time, 100T won 2–1. G2 took Lotus 13–10, but 100 Thieves answered on Ascent 13–10 and closed the series on Summit 13–7.
The result sent 100 Thieves to the lower final against Team Vitality on October 17. Vitality won that series 3–1, ending the North American team's run.
Not every great moment in esports ends with a trophy. Sometimes a team gets one more chance against the opponent that beat them — and makes it count.
Not every great comeback ends with a championship.
